This seminar was designed to complement the CETA negotiation process by improving knowledge of the EU’s internal operational structures and processes, in the hope of reaching better understanding and cooperation among Canadian and EU negotiators. It was delivered by leading experts in European Union law at the University of Amsterdam: Dr. P.J. Kuijper who has had 20 years experience in the Legal Service of the European Commission, including as the Principal Adviser and Director of External Relations and International Trade and who is now Professor of International Economic Law, together with Dr. R.H. van Ooik and Dr. A.A.M. Schrauwen, Associate Professors in European Union Law.
